    Scholastic Book Order Due: Sept. 30th

    Box of Books Program

    A new service that we are offering through our library is the ‘Box of Books’ program. As our teachers travel around our region and visit our families, we will be bring along a box of library books. Of course we would like to bring books that are of interest and value to our students. When your teacher contacts you to arrange a visit to your

    home, please give them an idea of what kind of library books you would like them to bring. We will do our best to bring books that are of interest to you.

    The TumbleBookLibrary is a collection of TumbleBooks (animated, talking picture books) TumblePuzzles, and TumbleQuizzes. TumbleBooks are created from existing picture books which have been licensed from children's book publishers and converted to the TumbleBook format.

    READ ACROSS CANADA READING CHALLENGE




    Come along as we read our way across Canada

    following the Trans Canada Trail.


    You can be a part of this expedition by READING!!

    Every 30 minutes that you read will move us 2 kilometers along the Trail.The first leg of our journey will be through BC, Alberta, Yukon, ending at the Arctic Ocean in the Northwest Territories. Starting at Victoria BC, our goal is to reach the Arctic Ocean at the northern end of the Trans Canada Trailby June 2008 -- A total of about 4500 km.


    Start now to keep track of the time you spend reading outside of your school lessons. Each week you are invited to email your teacher with the total number of hours spent reading that week. Primary students can record the time that someone reads to them. Each week the total time will be used to track how far we have traveled.
