Hi Everyone! My name is Samantha Butler and this is my fourth year with NBCDES! I am teaching Grades 4 & 5 and I am truly elated to be a part of your learning experience. I was born in Gander, Newfoundland but because I am from a military family, I have also lived in Ottawa, Ontario and California, USA. I spent most of my childhood in the scenic fishing village of Eastport, Newfoundland, which I consider my home. In 2007 I graduated from Memorial University with a Bachelor of Education. Immediately following graduation I joined the NBCDES team and moved to Fort St John, BC. It has been an interesting experience so far and I have met many amazing students. I am excited to be part of such an up and coming field of education. With the growth of technology there is so much more we have to offer. Activities I like to do in my spare time include Taekwondo, softball and volleyball, music, hiking, scrap booking and gardening. I enjoy the outdoors and a great challenge.
