    Quatrain Poem "Day Dream"

    The sun gazed down on the sand.
    The children came out to play on the beach.
    They collected shells underneath
    The sun that was the colour of a peach.

    The children ran along the water
    and in their bare feet they splashed.
    The children ran along the dunes
    and in the sand they dashed.

    The waves were calling out for me,
    the beach was luring me in,
    but then the teacher yelled at me
    "Site down and do your work", once again.

    Free Verse about Canada

    Canada is a land of diversity,

    Chinese, German, French, Aboriginal
    living together.
    Canada is RCMP,
    Wearing good-looking uniforms,
    Riding on proud beasts
    in the parade.
    Canada is a flock of geese,
    flying south,
    away from the snow.
    Canada is the Rocky Mountains,
    the Arctic Tundra, frozen and white.
    Canada is a gallery of sights,
    maple trees tall and proud in Ontario,
    Parliament buildings in Ottawa,
    The fast-paced Calgary Stampede,
    Beautiful Green Gables in P.E.I
    Canada is famous Canadians,
    Tommy Prince, decorated soldier,
    Roberta Bondar, female astronaut,
    Terry Fox, raising money for cancer,
    People making a difference.
    Canada is an amazing nation,
    The land where I was born,
    Proud to be a Canadian.
